Adult BJJ

These are our formal instruction days for Teens and Adults. To progress in the art of BJJ it is important to attend as many of these classes as possible. Class typically starts wth warmups and drills followed by teaching of technique and finishes with live rolling.  Students are encouraged to attend as many classes as possible but you may advance at their own pace.

Kids BJJ

The kids class is a whirlwind of activity for kids age 8 - 12 years old.  Games are played that have a BJJ movement emphasis and formal BJJ technique is taught.  Our instructors will evaluate when the appropriate time is for a child to move into a more advanced adult atmosphere. Students enrolled in the kid’s program may also attend Open Mat times.  It’s ideal if you communicate with the other students to see if there will be someone of similar size in attendance at an upcoming Open Mat time.

Little Grapplers

For kids 4—8 years old. Games are played that have a BJJ movement emphasis and formal BJJ technique is taught. Some children under 8, mature enough to handle the class setting without excessive redirection, can join the kids class. Our instructors will evaluate when the appropriate time is for a child to move into the KIDS CLASS.

What you should know for your first class:

Only as a TEAM, can we improve as individuals and athletes.  It is a paramount component to the foundation of your development.  Remember to have fun, save the competition mindset for competitions and bring the cooperative mindset to class. We are a TEAM and Together. Everyone. Achieves. More.  Leave th EGO at the door.

It is the responsibility of the student to keep themselves safe, training is the time to TAP OUT.

Questions are highly encouraged & appreciated. Please ask questions.

Your training partner is the most important person on the mat. Please treat them that way.

For NoGI students, grappling shorts without pockets are preferred. Pockets in grappling attire can lead to injuries to training partners.

Gentlemen, please be sure to bring a groin protector.

All students should have a Mouth Guard.

Bring a refillabel water bottle.

Hygiene is important, it is a MUST that your fingernails & toenails are trimmed.

We sanitize our mats daily and ask that you are mindful of personal hygeine and health issues that could jeapordize the health of other students. When in doubt, delay training until you are sure it is safe for all.

If you are new to the sport and don't have a Gi, we have some house Gi's available for you to borrow.  But don't be afraid to come in a t-shirt and shorts to get started.  We also have Gi's available for sale if you choose.

Due to our diverse group of students every day will be a different group of individuals training.  So try to come as often as possible to train with a variety of people.  You'll be surprised by what you can learn by training with a wide variety of people.
